Our most unique game mode. Points are assigned to each bird species using an algorithm that accounts for location-based rarity and seasonality, recalculating monthly. You earn points for the first of each species you spot within the competition timeframe. Win by getting the most points!
Rarity is determined by Pipit's point system, find the rarest bird within the timeframe to win!
All three game modes can be set up for a weekend hiking trip or a year-long rivalry.
Pipit also offers three quick game modes that are perfect solo, 1v1, or with a small group of friends, perhaps on your morning walk or an impromptu afternoon hike.
A 3x3 location-based "bingo" card is built for you at your selected difficulty. Race the clock solo, or race your friends to be the first to find all nine!
Similar to Blockout, but in this multiplayer 3x3 card each bird you find locks… yep… out, keeping your opponent from being able to check it off. First to five wins!
Just you vs. the clock, find all nine before the time runs out!
Pipit Audio ID uses a combination of your location and your mobile device's microphone to listen to the birds in your vicinity and show real-time suggestions for who's singing. You can select birds from the suggested ID list to move them directly into your personal log and active competitions!
Always keep in mind that birding code says a true log means laying eyes on the bird ;). We always recommend cross-checking bird calls to verify what's suggested by Pipit Audio ID.
Pipit uses a combination of past user sightings, your location, and migration data to show you the 20 most likely birds within a 3-mile radius, giving you an idea of what to look for!
